Preston North End

By Car from the North, South & East: Exit M6 at junction 31. At roundabout take 1st exit (signposted Preston A59) - Stay on A59 for approx 1 mile until you reach a mini roundabout by the Hesketh Arms and take the 2nd exit (signposted Ringroad, Blackpool A583 and Football Ground) - Onto the Blackpool Road (A5085) and head straight on for approx 1.2 miles, then filtering left before lights (Signposted Town Centre and Footie ground) Into Deepdale Road, ground is on your left hand side.

PARKING: PNE are hoping to offer parking outside the Bill Shankly stand but we're not sure if this is available yet? There are two local schools that offer safe parking for 2 and there's plenty of street parking around the ground itself. BEWARE: Steer clear of Lowthorpe Road, Hollins Road, Parkside and St.Stephens Road as these are emeregency access routes and your car will be towed away.

By Train: PRESTON STATION: About 1.6 miles from the ground, taxi around 3- Buses are available but these look like hard work as changes are involved for a short journey. Taxi offers by far the best means of transport from the station.

Safety: Guide say's - "Little trouble recently although derby days are always tense. Visiting fans should steer clear of the Friargate Area in Town whilst those walking from the station should avoid Meadow Street." This always concerns me... First it say's little trouble then advises you to steer clear of half the town! Having visited Preston on numerous occassions, I've always found the Police very friendly up there (among the best I've encountered) and the locals ok too. Having said that, I'm not so sure they'd treat large groups of young men in the same way! In general, PNE is ok, but as always, take caution...

Local Radio: BBC Radio Lancashire 103.9fm + Rose Radio 999am, Radio phone ins - Saturdays 6-7pm Radio Lancashire (above) call 01254-583583.

Food and Drink: Visitors will be placed in the new Bill Shankly stand where there is plenty of food and drink available and the good news is PNE's pies are foumously delicious! Outside the ground Clares Pantry is available and further along Deepdale Road there's a selection of fast food shops available.

PUBS: Legends (Deepdale Road) Home and away fans. The Summers Hotel (Corner of Wattling St. and Deepdale Road) Quiter pub. - The Garrison Watling St. Home and away fans - The Hesketh Arms Blackpool Road on the way to the ground off M6 (Mainly away fans) food and drink available.
